Lakho Fulanee (લાખો ફૂલાણી) By Late Shri Harilal Upadhyay...

About: Navsanskaran
Excerpts from Lakho Fulanee:
Fortunately I got the reference material (of historical facts) for this novel named "Lakho Fulani" (Lakho Fulanee); when I was searching for the additional information (about historical events) for my previous historical novel named "RoodhirNu RajTilak". I wrote this historical novel based on my feeling, that the character of Jam Lakho Fulani (Jam Lakho Fulanee); who was the grand son of the King of Sindh (Sindhpati) Jam Lakho Dhuraro; who is one of the main characters of RoodhirNu RajTilak; and his lifespan needs to be explored separately as an independent book (to justify the same). In this way this story is in continuity with "RoodhirNu RajTilak", but it is complete in itself as and independent book. The biography of Jam Lakho Fulani (Jam Lakho Fulanee) is not unknown to the people who are interested in the history. In the old and new books related to the history of Yaduvansh (and hence Chandravansh) the events and incidents of Lakha Fulani (Lakha Fulanee) and his life found described in detail. Old historians have praised the name (of Lakha Fulanee). I have collected the information about Lakha Fulani (Lakha Fulanee)'s life from historical books, articles and poems. But actually as I am fond of hearing the folklores in the social assemblies from the mouth of the (expert) story tellers. Once in a similar social assembly (Dayro); I have heard the tale of Lakha Fulanee (Lakha Fulani) from the mouth of the respected and famous story teller of his time Late Mamaiya Barot. And I found the historical facts about Lakha Fulani (Lakha Fulanee) along with the amazing and interesting information; which I have used in this novel. For example (the character of) Apsara (the divine beautiful fairy) Sonal, the birth of Lakha Fulanee (Lakha Fulani) by the power of the Sun, the unseparated friends of Lakha Fulanee (Lakha Fulani), Help by the Sun, The golden person (having the capabilities of the philospher’s stone), and the event of MerBatee (MerBati). There are two ways to get the heart of the story (interestingly): one is by reading it and another is by hearing it. Some tales, which once heard from the mouth of a (expert) storyteller, when read afterwards it doesn’t seem that much fascinating. On the other hand I read the biography of Lakha Fulanee (Lakha Fulani) earlier (before listening it). But the charm of hearing the same was totally different. And the events were also mentioned (by the storyteller) in the different way. But writing the story in the way it is told in a social assembly (Dayro) is like experimenting the stuff. Only great authors like Respected Zaverchand Meghani can do that kind of experiments successfully. Though, I have tried it with the fear in "RoodhirNu RajTilak". On the other hand this tale is presented in a different way. It contains the combination of hearing and reading (or speaking and wriing) both. Apart from this, I feel it is necessary to refer the story of OdhaKer which I heard from the same storyteller. In http://www.harilalupadhyay.org/history.php" title="Gujarati historical novels by Late Shri Harilal Upadhyay" class="normallink" >historical novels regarding Yaduvansh, references are found about the marriage of two kings with Apsara (Divine beautiful Fairy). Before Jam Ful – the father of Lakha Fulanee (Lakha Fulani) – got married to Apsara Sonal; Odho Ker was also got married to Apsara named Hothal Padmini (or Hothal Padminee). It can be questioned that whether there is a part of the reality there or they are the pure fantasies (about both the references mentioned); that the divine beautiful fairies are coming onto the earth from the heaven. But I still have mentioned that Lakho Fulani (Lakho Fulanee) was son of such a divine fairy Sonal, in this novel. After mentioning this much about this story, I want to mention one more stuff here. I have collected a good amount of historical stuff after reading historical encyclopedias regarding Yaduvanshee (Yaduvanshi) Rajput (Kshatriya) kings, and from the respected storyteller and Charan (A clan known for its authentication about historical facts, the way of storytelling – especially folklores). By taking the stuff from this collection, I want to write more http://www.harilalupadhyay.org/history.php" title="Gujarati historical novels by Late Shri Harilal Upadhyay" class="normallink" >historical novels on interesting tales. And I am try my level best for the same. I believe that instead of thinking of the success of this trial, if I keep doing honest and hard efforts, then the same will be marked definitely (by the people). With the prayer, that my this belief may become my destiny; I am gladly presenting this tale to the readers.
