Late Shri Harilal Upadhyay is also remembered for his love towards the children. He used to tell that, kids are the future of the society, country and the entire world. He believed that kids are like ungrown plants which can be diverted in any direction. I also want to take an opportunity to show his lovely bond with Kids by representing one of the finest memory with him. One time I was preparting for a speech (in my school days) regarding Population; I have prepared a rough or proof copy to show him. Within two minutes he have wrote this specially as an addition in the speech. The person who is having art to create poetries fast (on the spot); in Gujarati/Hindi we call him/her "SHIGHRAKAVI" (literally means Fast Poet or Spot Poet).

મુશ્કેલીઓ બાળકોને શાળાનાં પ્રવેશ તણી,
                    અભ્યાસ ઉછેરની વળી સ્મસ્યાઓ વધી ઘણી,
ફરીયાદ આવી પાડોશીની સુણી બોલ્યા મારા દાદા,
                    વસ્તી તણા વધારાએ સર્જી આ બધી આપદા!
